My journey started when I was fully lost in my pain. Struggling to manage back pain and migraines, I felt frustrated and depressed. Nothing worked. It was a very sad time in my life. By chance I attended a few mindfulness classes without holding any hopes or expectations. I was certain that just like everything else I tried prior, this fairly new-then idea of meditation would not be of any help either. But in the fourth class everything has changed for me. During the meditation I suddenly felt my migraine disappeared. It felt like a miracle. Since then I started researching and learning more about how mindfulness works. It was helpful that in 2010-2011 there was sufficient amount of research published online showing evidence of effectiveness of mindfulness meditation practice. So I became adamant to learn more. And as I began to benefit from it more and more, I felt that it would be important for me to share this 'miracle' of mindfulness with others.
I was very fortunate to discover Breathworks on my journey. Mindfulness for Health Course developed by Vidyamala Burch (MBE) has completely transformed my relationship with persistent back pain. I trained with Breathworks to become a teacher. And I am still grateful to all my teachers who supported me. I stopped being a sufferer. Although I still experience discomfort and pain in my back, I live a very contented live and enjoy many things I am comfortably able to do.
Since completing my Teacher Training, I taught many groups, couples and individuals. I enjoyed organising and leading retreats, as well as supporting my colleagues with their courses and retreats - from very experienced once to teachers at the beginning of their journeys.
I was privileged to speak on the national Radio, and to work closely with co-founders of Breathworks. But mostly I feel grateful to all my students for allowing me to teach and witness their amazing journeys and growth.
I love being in nature... What more can I say? There's something indefinitely powerful and magical about being surrounded by trees, flowers, sky and air. I feel most grounded and contented on my daily walks and pottering around the garden.
I've got thousands of pictures on my phone that I very rarely do anything 'productive' with. I just enjoy taking photos, capturing what catches my eye. And I often dream that one day I will print them for a small exhibition.
Thinking about life and our human nature goes hand in hand with being in the spaciousness of the world. Almost every day I seem to find insight into peculiarities of being human. And I hope that what I do helps others in their precious and complicated lives.
I'm an experienced mindfulness teacher and supervisor. I maintain my British Association of Mindfulness-Based Approaches (BAMBA) and adhered to the ethics of my profession.
I'm also a Breathworks Associate Teacher, Accredited Psychotherapist (MBACP Accred.) and Supervisor (MA).
